Why are there no superheroes coming from Chernobyl?

Seriously, evolutionists claim beneficial mutations lead to new species over time. There have to have been thousands of mutations around Chernobyl by now caused by radiation exposure, but there are still no new species, just lots of fatal birth defects and deaths due to radiation exposure.
A quick check shows that there have probably been over 100 generations of mice since the accident. I would think there should be some new traits being naturally selected by now from amongst the survivors. I’m not against evolution, it just seems to me that Chernobyl is an accelerated laboratory to check the theory.
